Society is a... social construct?I'm thinking a lot lately about how freedom from oppression, as a concept, only makes sense as a negative contour of subjugation.☯️Tired: We live in a societyWired: We live in an amalgam of memes stemming from concepts rooted in Schelling https://t.co/s6GxraOlbF

A perhaps more digestible view of this concept is to think about 'ant societies', and how so many people assume that the "Queen" as leader, when reality is that the nature of social systems is more a fuzzy ontological boundary that defies understanding.https://t.co/cyjMwV9UkN https://t.co/rItm7GJ7ND

Thinking of the queen as the leader of an ant colony sending out orders is like thinking that your dick is doing the thinking for you. While quaint and poetically fun in an abstract sense, there isn't actually any meaningful computational machinery in the balls.

I like using metaphors about Egregores as way to model ideologies and the manifestations of people acting in synchronicity to build an emergent ephemeral "body". But even then, it is simply leveraging our systems thinking processes to model agency.https://t.co/AsNZSCghbd

Every time you stop to question overt anthropomorphism the ant, have you ever stopped to think "maybe we are equally wired to anthropomorphize human systems too much?"If we are geared to project agency where none exists, surely we must be?https://t.co/dVWmxyR4H4

@strnglft Lots of demons are making themselves known. The kappa demon "are often accused of assaulting humans in water and removing a mythical organ called the shirikodama from their victim's anus."https://t.co/Rvh50OaW4OWhat is a microbiome anyway?https://t.co/pHAUmZ8Wds

And so, my fellow [cultists]: ask not what your [spook] can do for you — ask what you can do for your [spook].My fellow [targets]: ask not what [the egregore] will do for you, but what together we can do [to further it's goals]. https://t.co/NKXZgWGvqS
