Your parents fucked you up, even if they did their best not to. Who you were was stifled in a very fundamental way as a child. The complaint is something like: “If mom hadn’t taken my teddy bear when I was 8, maybe I’d be happy and self actualized today!” A thread 1/12

@meaning_enjoyer Idk my cousin and her husband seem to have done a great job raising their kids. They are so well adjusted that it's off-putting

@meaning_enjoyer My parents did, but my cousin and her husband did a weirdly good job with their kids. Like it's almost disturbing how well-adjusted and healthy and loving they are
