Attention is everything: A thread. People constantly model other's attention. Why? Because you can predict everything from someone's attention pattern. https://t.co/4EpWyxQfHQ

Ways of paying attention that you recognise but were previously outside of your frame of possibility are insightful, which is why people freak out in dance battles. "Holy shit they're doing THIS with their attention." https://t.co/iV98oxxEbj

"As we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give others permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our fear, our presence automatically liberates others". True, but why does it work? Because saints/enlightened people show new, sacred, attention patterns.

@nosilverv I think a lot about how webgazer was released on valentines day.https://t.co/SsOKXbKKP6

@nosilverv I think a lot about how people close to you are able to answer personality tests for you and get accurate answers. Other people encoding a mental model of yourself in their mind.https://t.co/fWgeL2AWuL

@nosilverv I think a lot about how modeling people's attention is fundamentally the task being done by creating marketing personas.https://t.co/kOdLwhIunO

Privacy is a red herring. Who cares if your data is public or private? What you ought be worried about is how your data is being used to manipulate you. That's the subtext that all of their brand messaging is dancing around. They want to steal your soul.https://t.co/lJKfa2TDdP

@nosilverv I think a lot about how "Windows Hello" on the Surface Pro is using an IR based camera.https://t.co/GTTLnOTMNIhttps://t.co/v9tKBoAWQw

@nosilverv I think a lot about the nature of being a good boy. Yes I do.https://t.co/ep8vxSyFLK

@nosilverv I think a lot about how the tools I want to use to help with my disabilities are also the tools I could use to steal people's souls.https://t.co/1pDqQD98WChttps://t.co/lJKfa2TDdP

@nosilverv I think a lot about how easy it is to cut a hole in a Google Cardboard VR and mount in a pair of IR cameras (from a raspberry Pi) in it. And how cheap it was to buy one.https://t.co/sZiO1a4oKk

My little brother has a nice gaming rig + a Rift. He just got @SCSsoftware's American Truck Simulator VR mode working (beta feature), and found some Car mods. I also just saw that it also supports @tobiigaming's eye tracking too!I wonder if it works with https://t.co/9Y8c0QbIVW

@nosilverv I think a lot about how my ideas, if understood in context of a larger narrative, might drive people insane.https://t.co/i7bOzVl0gH

@nosilverv I think a lot about emotional contagion as a form of propaganda being used to manipulate people into encoding emotions and feelings about a product to prime more salient recall during states of impulsive comfort seeking behavior.https://t.co/jBsVUsABOY

@nosilverv I think a lot about the kind of accounts who are following both a you and me, and the stochastic nature of twitter surfacing content into people's feeds based on who they follow and their interest graphhttps://t.co/glXdYesJ8a

I think I figured out how twitter's algo is working. It's mining content i'm looking at to generate a time-local interest graph. I looked at some tweets talking about musk then looked at grimes/musk's feed - boom its all grimes tweets in my feed from the past day. amplification.

@nosilverv I think a lot about the nature of content mining and mass surveillance paired with GPU compute and deep learning algorithms tailored toward predicting what people will do.https://t.co/x1pCfS3Ytk

@nosilverv I think a lot about how I would build an AI to assist me in my day to day life, and how that same technology could be weaponized by an ecosystem hell bend on predicting me.https://t.co/Ad6teeyrHq

@nosilverv I think a lot about the nature of thinking.https://t.co/oINcFndAN9

@nosilverv I think a lot about predicting what other people think, and how it seems we are tuned to do that, esp. if you believe certain theories on the evolution of consciousness that have parallels with the parable in your twitter header.https://t.co/Ej97yK8RiUhttps://t.co/ltZ5GnYLAU

@nosilverv Thing I need it to do is build up connections between threads. Having a tool reverse engineer how I connect ideas together I think is most meaningful thing.Reverse engineering my hidden layers; my inner model of thought on creating infomorphic beings.https://t.co/AKJe7r1ULH

@nosilverv I think a lot about why my ideas don't exist yet.https://t.co/5drwiqtVfF

WolframAlpha-like knowledge engine ran against your own corpus combined with fullcontact automated harvesting combined with a klout style interest graph.Searches with word vectors & semantic intent. What Facebook's graph search was supposed to do. https://t.co/v2ILV1I8Vh
