I think the trick with “boring” interests like movies, wine, beaches etc whatever is to pick something to get really specific about. Any boring thing gets interesting when you get specific. “I like laughing” vs “I like analysing the timing of beats in standup comedy”

@visakanv When I was younger I didn’t understand why no one seemed to give useful advice on this topic. My younger self would judge me complicit in this silence. I don’t think he’s exactly wrong, exactly.
