1] Your body has a natural anti-gravity system. It naturally wants to be light and floaty. The problem is that we have lost touch with it. When we catch ourselves slumped, we use additional muscles to haul ourselves up. This is not the anti-gravity system. Thread 🧵⬇️

2] When you notice your posture is slumped, you may also notice that you've forgotten that the dimension of 'up' exists – that there is space above your head. I need to point this out to you in a way that doesn't trigger you to *think* about up. That's thought, not awareness.

3] Let's try this. You are very well aware that there is a planet beneath your feet right now. It has a gravitational field that always exerts a downward force on you. In that, that's what defines 'down' and it's always the same direction.

4] Instead of trying to fight it, consider that there is another planet directly overhead with its own gravitational pull in the opposite direction. It's an 'up' field and it's already here, right now. All you have to do is stop holding and allow yourself to be pulled up by it.

5] I don't want you to imagine, visualise or otherwise *think* about this other planet. All of that is just living in your head, not in the world. I want you to 'just know' it's there, in the same way as you might open and close your hand. https://t.co/801sR2cVUh

1] Play a game with me. While reading this , open and close your hand a few times. Do this a few times as you read this sentence. Notice how you aren't using words in your head to think "open... close... open.... close". You 'just open' and 'just close' your hand.
