First, being trapped by your concepts. Being trapped by your concepts is the idea that your concepts are making you act in a mediately contradictory and thus ultimately futile way. An example: Imagine someone who says they don't “care what people think”.

They cannot mean it *literally*: they care that their children remember who they are, that others call them for their birthday, and so on. So what’s going on? I “don’t care what people think” is a social move. It is cool to not care about what other people think.

And, because it's cool, some, wanting to be cool, profess it. But being cool is precisely about what others think/perceive! And so to get others to think you’re cool you now believe you don't care about whether or not they think you’re cool.

Got it? Cool. It's important because it happens *all over* and in much more subtle, and interesting, ways. There's these modern metaphors for enlightenment of getting out of your car or looking up from your phone.

Which is funny because its the easiest thing to do except it isn’t because you forgot you are in the car and you forgot you are looking at your phone. (Don't text and drive.) There's a virtual reality such that people can only mess with their blinkers or scroll down their phone.

But the action of just stepping out of the goddamn car or looking up from the goddamn phone is forever out of reach. You've been in this virtual reality for so long you forgot you were in it. It is not unlike how you don't notice you're dreaming when you are.

The mind got everything it got so far by seeking (craving). So when it decides it wants enlightenment of course it tries to get it via seeking. The mind seeks enlightenment. But enlightenment is to just stop seeking! So the mind seeks to stop seeking.

Again, a contradiction, something that can’t happen. Which is why enlightenment is 'always already there', the 'easiest thing in the world', 'something you just drop into'. What you're doing now: doing, seeking, is harder!

Ok, same idea, different application, this time visually: https://t.co/dXuJKOuxU9

Or like, let's do another one which I hope to god doesn’t derail this thread and if it does I will punish you all. https://t.co/lHLTfsV7Fl

It is fair to go with ‘neither!' when you can't answer with either yes or no, when you can only question the question and ask for it to be retracted. When the question is using its concepts in an attempt to entrap you. "Are you still beating your wife?” Mu.

but now I realize the only thing that matters is finding True Artists and supporting and challenging them, and the bottleneck there is my own thinking, my own behavior a summary: 2007: fuck everyone 2013: fuck you guys 2015: fuck Visa 2019: there is no fuck 😂
