@nosilverv Would like to read more about this - link to ref? Dynorphin and salvinorin A both affect the kappa-opioid receptor system, but I haven't heard of people thinking they're the couch or gravity going sideways due to stress?

@SarahAMcManus it's from here https://t.co/dKylBe94ke

@SarahAMcManus @nosilverv There are some medical trials for some salvia analogs that are being targeted against depression (presumably also anxiety) and Alzheimer's. It's super exciting.https://t.co/bnbNzXPuX5

@SarahAMcManus @nosilverv My best guess is "Cross-talk between κ-opioid and cannabinoid CB 1" https://t.co/aOIziCcRrP with impacts on the immune system driving gut microbiome change -> serotonin shifting -> anxiety impacts.I suspect salvia's reduction on alcohol consumption may be similar to cannabis.

@SarahAMcManus @nosilverv We might be seeing results of salvia/kappa hitting the same system responsible for 'Alcohol Withdrawal Delirium' effects https://t.co/7ckoDX5VrkI suspect it's also why serotonin modulate anxiety, but also has ban implicated in hallucinations. https://t.co/jI8vl1CGqF

@SarahAMcManus @nosilverv Dynorphin is fun.https://t.co/mwsQPfi5gqhttps://t.co/EfWHzHw8sv https://t.co/ZYTHCkazWx

@__a__chimera__ @brazen_cabeza I've been barking down this path for a while:"Despite the complexity of the gut microbiota, exposure to a single microbial strain L. reuteri 3 can protect against depressive-like behaviors induced by chronic social defeat stress."https://t.co/8HvJ25BN6Ahttps://t.co/qVifc6iltk

@SarahAMcManus @nosilverv Kappa Hitting CB 1 might be also rarely be causing issues with FAAH metabolism, which is still being explored AFAICT. https://t.co/BAPomhgPP3That could also explain rare instances of cannabis causing temporary hallucination. https://t.co/Q0wYn981tK

@SarahAMcManus @nosilverv I'm still searching to find what causes this effect, "Accordingly, serotonin depletion prevented the ability of FAAH inhibition within the medial PFC to promote active stress coping responses."https://t.co/nib9NO8u2cI think there must have something related that reverses it.
