If you can make rum from the casting of an elephants partially digested fruit matter. https://t.co/SR2toS6CDKDoesn't that mean that you can make rum from the waste of any carnivore's half digested scat?

So diploendozoochory suggests that one method of action for seed dispersal is to get vegetarian's drunk, so that they are eating by predators with a much higher range of dispersal.Birds that don't fly south are more likely to eat fermenting berries and be consumed by predators.

Turduken, but for fruit procurement for wine making.First you feed grapes to a rodent (with gut macrobiotic that produce alcohol), then you feed the rodents to a cat. Then you take the cat's scat and turn it into wine.

I wonder if anyone digs up ant hills and uses their frass / refuse piles to make strange fermented foods. Also, apparently stressed out maned wolf poop is full of Glucocorticoids and Thyroid hormones. Might change the quality of their resulting wines.https://t.co/UB15FBZbmi

We already do this as a species. one of the fun things about fermenting stuff into a wine is that it tends to kill a lot of the bacteria that is harmful to humans. Don't try this at home.https://t.co/Hpg8aU7lYw

Insert the discussion around "eating clean", but taking that same reasoning about wine made from feces and the nature of boiling eggs in unadulterated urine. We are absurd.https://t.co/JEPWDTNmjw

@__a__chimera__ I ask myself, "Why would that guy seem to assume 'drinking grandson's pee really helps' like it was obvious, and that it would be dumb to drink non 'clean' pee?"Maybe Nitric oxide & urease associated bacterial effects prevent damage and oxidative stress?https://t.co/3xv4UKgs7z

Thinking a lot about the difficulty of con-founders in situations where twin studies are involved in oral routes of FMT.I wonder what the strength of selection bias is there.

Whats ethically mind boggling is that if we assume this feces is a donation, that means that selling fecal wine is an entirely exploitative practice. The only ethically responsible feces wine is free?<insert capitalism meme about efficient market hypothesis>

Which I can infer is likely by direct action on microbiota driven calcium metabolism.Fun fact: if we want to go to mars one day, we may need to make our microbiome process calcium differently to avoid bone loss.https://t.co/aymdDJhpUc
