Bc I hang out with teenage Visa in my head all the time (we made a pact at ~17), I’m great with young people and never feel intimidated or confused by their “weirdness”. It makes *perfect* sense to me always. Teenage illegibility is security-via-obscurity against adult scrutiny
The trick to getting along with anybody is roughly the same: Don’t condescend to them, don’t be needy for their approval or fear their disapproval. Respect that their games are meaningful and important to them, even & especially if you don’t understand them. Be gently supportive
Teenagers doing weird shit on tiktok like making a random kid famous for no reason is precisely the same sort of experimental behavior as a younger child spinning in circles or banging pots and pans.
