Gonna make a meta index of indexes for all my paper notebooks https://t.co/LyERlE6kKU

Rule 1: number your pages https://t.co/tobqBySX8r

Step 2: identify all the pages that you find interesting enough to want to revisit in the future Step 3: create an index if you haven't already Step 4: Highlight/emphasize the best/important stuff https://t.co/CTFko5qFlS

@visakanv Nice. In my head I also have this system, but I don't have enough content to warrant actually carrying it out. In addition, I also have forward and backward links between pages, creating a linear (doubly linked list) structure out of a chronological stream of content.

these days I index my highlights in regular paper books too, which lets me find memorable passages more quickly. hereās McLuhan quoting John Donneās The Sun Rising, which struck me with the phrase ārags of timeā https://t.co/uWW8iabOaR

@visakanv McLuhan has been on my mind too, been relying on his thinking in an article on how the internet broke the self. https://t.co/FxDg3P91RC Excuse the shameless plug, just fishing for your attention. I appreciate you sharing this highlight.
