Those things are partially remote controlled by operators. Blame partly goes to shitty gig work positions?"It’s much easier and more cost-efficient to be able to ping a human operator, who may be overseeing 100 robots at a time, to ask for assistance"https://t.co/j4hQdmlshc https://t.co/PVQzXqRrOg

Citylab article says: "Its robots were back on campus four days later, now under heavier human surveillance." implies negligence of operation?I am legit curious if it's gig-work, or how that kind of thing is operated. They may have staff sitting in a room as drone operators.

Struck by the emotional dissonance & structural dichotomy of seeing the obstructionary nature of public facing robots vs the liberatory nature of private assistance robots. Uh What?FWIW; helping my uncle build an actual autonomous indoor delivery robot.https://t.co/qjr7I41OXL

My uncle is learning how to program again so he can build a robot to do this kind of thing for my gram. I didn't know this existed. I am crying. https://t.co/dY9GBiEmeH

Having access to food via robots that collaborate with humans for navigation, is becoming the new norm.https://t.co/rFfwPbciI7https://t.co/8mm1133rEz
