This is an excellent tool in mining what used to be real-time events for historic analysis. Let's hope Twitter doesn't sunset this feature any time soon. https://t.co/Erhii3qLZg

Want to see what your Twitter timeline would've looked like 10 years ago today, if you followed all the same people you do now? https://t.co/41a6iQcYhc

Oh my goodness I blindly tried my hand at adding a `list:` clause, and it seems to work exactly as I expected! Guys, you don't need to struggle to catch up with sudden outbursts of tweets as things unfold, you can actually go back in time to read them! Example below:

Now, the last and perhaps final feature I still find sorely missing in Twitter's search functionality is a "liked"/"favourited" filter, so I can search for something I "liked" in a certain time period.

So it turns out the `list:user/list-name` operator I stumbled upon is documented by Twitter officially here, along with a bunch of good stuff like finding videos and images: https://t.co/okokhDxx2y

The `filter:follows` operator mentioned in the earliest tweet in this thread is mentioned also in this Twitter search guide: https://t.co/ckgJiGJYsc Interestingly, I have trouble finding this `filter:follows` clause in any official Twitter docs.

Someone on Quora also mentioned you can use an (also apparently undocumented) `filter:quote` operator to search quote-tweets, which still seems to work: https://t.co/ZDyvqpiGdm Also, funky `-min_retweet:10` to find some rather unpopular tweets (less than 10 RTs).

So, combining all of this know-how, let's try looking for some videos of the scramble at Hong Kong international airport late at night on August 13, again using the list of HK accounts I built earlier: https://t.co/qUo89FLFmV

And indeed, lots of footage of HKIA that night did indeed show up. This is a success!

This is actually so incredibly fascinating: we can also see the opposing camp's perspective by finding a list of pro-China accounts, and rewind the timeline there. E.g. this horrible list: https://t.co/Z1uMUpJ5M9 Yields these HKIA videos: https://t.co/LpaRtB6jKw

So it turns out the Twitter search operator reference page is not the above link; the above is a guide document. The reference is here: https://t.co/IDIMkRbHZ8
