Everything you say is being filtered by 20k people at various levels of attention, mood, and familiarity with your concepts. Each person a follower for their own reasons. Their life trajectory and meaning making machinery casting a shadow onto our caves of meaning. https://t.co/4DOeErQm5T

You see your reflection in their eyes as a silhouette. A blurry penumbra cast as a thousand lanterns shine your way. When you were small, it seemed like a point-light as those who focused on you were far away, and only a sharp line would cut thru the darkness. https://t.co/mDulAQ9rvj

Now, the intensity of the lanterns is brighter - the mass of a network of eyes shining on you means even blurry signals are legible against the wall.Where before one could tell stories with hand puppets in shadow, noise and chaos of many lights means only caricatures cast well. https://t.co/E0talRNZYQ

"What we tend to call a shadow is really just a cross section of a 3-dimensional region. The darkness you are causing only changes shape when a light moves in to fill the previous gap. So in a way a shadow doesn't travel at all. That's an illusion..."

Optical illusions show how we see, and perhaps by extension: analogies of them suggest how we think.https://t.co/zvTyLzyZ1H

If you raised a child in a room where shadows never cast, would they spook if they saw their own?How many of us have an innate sense of our reflected self as it echos around our social networks?Raising bees in a room without color, they still see blue.https://t.co/QZUrrA0cZv

Sparse voxel octrees work to speed up ray-casting because light is not a point but a field, and a shadow is a complex cone of diffuse probability. By transforming that concept into a trapezoid we can emulate it by averaging samples via implicitly: https://t.co/jvneleBmFf

Vector quantifization of light mapping within a 3d space projected onto a 2d plane as a high speed encoding of reality models captured in the minds eye? Whats that?https://t.co/NJp9X3st0p

Learn to sample better and you see less of a caricature, and more photorealistic. We need to have a better dynamic range. How many f-stops are you on?https://t.co/dkcy2EWM7F https://t.co/E34wfcyB3w
