Making good on my commitment on working toward the future, only wanting a Basic Income; after years of struggling while researching at intersection of autism, brains, nutrition, quantified self, I am now formally paid as an independent researcher by a firm. I start the 29th. 🙏

Shout out to @alexeyguzey https://t.co/5LYikFYPcX for inspiring me to explore this possibility more earnestly.

Since I got back on foodstamps I: Ate better for a month, dealt with significantly less stress. Then found the headspace to explore and engage with grants and other funding opportunities and put my face out there. https://t.co/Ih3Ev6Y3qe

The last time I was able to get foodstamps, I landed a job as well.Fuck SNAP ABAWD laws.https://t.co/aV9RwzNTzH

I wanted to go to YCombinator in 2010 to work on a shopping list app to help end food deserts. It is 2019 and I still want to go to YCombinator for the same app.If this new position works out, I might have a prototype up & running in a few months just working over the weekend.

If it ever gets off the ground, one of perks I wanna have is to reimburse cost of the food that people put into the app. Initially for employees, and their family. Down the line make my own private foodstamp program and bootstrap a primitive basic income. Because fuck SNAP ABAWD.

Persistence is never giving up. https://t.co/XNoOAmNcWz

I'm salty right now.https://t.co/kpWTAZHXTW

I don't think that's persistence. I think that is someone who's raked in money in the mobile space and turned around and invested it well. And now has a track record to prove he's got business sense in that space to get funding for new ads.Game looks cute. Props to artist team!

An MVP was going to cost 30k (with Gigster) and take 8.5 weeks. If I can do do a bare minimum myself and start getting paying users, I can open source it, then start hiring people to help. The whole idea is to make it cheaper and easier for people to feed themselves.

Feeding people so we can go to mars. It is really that simple.https://t.co/hIbCm1trXL

Reminding myself of the bigger picture https://t.co/zzytRSmBOz

What is a memetic mediator?Am I employed as a meme trader now? This makes me feel things.https://t.co/N9xsJyFO5C

Been anxious a bit for a few days. Then I go and vomit on Mastodon about how squirrels might have Crohn's Disease because it protect's their intestines from decaying during fasting/hibernation.Some kind of displacement activity around anxiety over not being able to perform.

I am having a conversation with myself between my threads and I don't even know it.In other news, it is a real job. I'm wasn't dreaming it.(I have been paid! 🥳)https://t.co/FqkZSxmUN7

Everybody's like"put down the internet you're using it as displacement behavior you sinner!"And I'm like"fuck you the displacement behavior is literally how I got a job."https://t.co/vvJVKWlh5hIn fact I might do all of my best research during anxiety driven fugue states. 😎

I can save up for 2 months and have a personal runway of about 1.667 years if I go back to the $100 a month I was getting via donation. If my plans work out the way I want in the next few months, It can make that stretch for far far longer.https://t.co/XdGdZLdBZg

The trouble is that with most Saas offerings; you can start cheap, but you pay out the nose for reliability and durability of your data. The saying "There is no cloud, only some else's computer."https://t.co/oIyG1KlOpO

Everything I want to do hits limits of saas tooling. I hit airtable's 50k entry limit in an evening. I am literally buying more ram so I can run stuff in Coda w/out browser crashing. It is so frustrating to want to play w/ data while still having the turn around of Saas tools. https://t.co/wkfqo1Dv0S

If your startup builds tools where the user is in full control of their data, all of a sudden much of that SaaS restriction goes away.Anyone can spin up a pleroma or mastaodon instance. Anyone can join scuttlebutt. IPFS, DAT, GUN, SpaceMonkey.TL;DR:https://t.co/HxCyB2CtcT

Still my direction. But I'm looking at it like an experienced poker player -> making moves that optimize for all cases.Buying a tool set to build out some projects for my job, but making sure that they'd fit on the back of a hypothetical bike trailer.https://t.co/xDFmOYLKgH

I'm trying to plan out how to become more resilient than I currently am. Intention is to gather a bare minimum to live out of a tent and save up for a bike+bike trailer, and then leverage that for living from a car, and eventually a stealth van with my SO.https://t.co/96W1EZklA8

web protocols tho.https://t.co/t4CMdY5t7y

Yes it would. This is why my next purchase is going to be a device to run a private Pleroma server, one for https://t.co/famoEHvf8V, and hopefully spin up a peertube node down the line.https://t.co/YsTjReTDQihttps://t.co/EmxSrhFQEC

Remember that time I was trying to channel my holiday angst into writing a grant to do real-time Quantified Self scans of biometric readings for N-of-1 trials for alleviating autism symptoms? No? Oh right, thats because it's what I'm doing right now.

Unrelated:Remember that time I wrote a 314 tweet long thread about recreating someone's essence via the singularity to cope with missing someone I care about deeply?https://t.co/dyLdMSvyA2

If I end up losing my current SO, I'm going to start metagaming Tinder. I seek those with non-standard utility functions for mates. I would target those who haven't acclimated to gamified system. More variance; but signal is usually stronger among noise. https://t.co/rmUMRAhiQM

Good talk on the social issues and trust dynamics of running decentralized networks for storage, and the nature (and challenge) of community driven networks. Particularly stuff you don't end up running into under centralized Saas services. https://t.co/bAKZbZgFdJ

"…not a replacement for Dropbox, but actually a break-up proof technology. A technology that will help you navigate the inevitable breakup. […] It's an architecture that helps you navigate the inevitable breakdown of trust. […] can help you regroup, manage, and navigate…"

Worth a peruse.https://t.co/UwKHblxpM4

I am exploring ways to track and model vital signs directly related to cure (forms of ) cancer. I'm doing it because I'm anxious about ideas involved with moving back in w/ my moms because I can't adult.https://t.co/1c6nLE4mgh

IJust realized I know the full supply chain for lung cancer gene screening, endocannabinoid expression modeling, growing/testing cannabis strains, isolating THC/CBD/terpenes that help regulate CB1/CB2 receptors, & could likely even produce my own vape oil.https://t.co/GmkY0t108N

I'm doing circles around some major healtcare VC firms while I am worrying about not being able to get foodstamps if I lose my job.https://t.co/Jl53phGi0Z

It took me a month to pull this out of the package and attempt to put it together.I'm too slow, and have no executive function skills.https://t.co/YRv9s4kjv5

If I lose my job, I apologize.I've not been very functional on my own.https://t.co/aXFbKVpvoW https://t.co/WAIOZzYgld

This food stamp increase doesn't matter if you can't get them.https://t.co/7PZUVqeo5chttps://t.co/6W8dMDhv7L
