A very cool thing about having an elaborate 🕸 of threads on twitter is – when new people find and discover you, they start favoriting all these old tweets, and you get to "feel" the paths of their choose-their-own-adventure journeys. It feels a little transhuman

every tweet that is on my web of threads is also somewhere in my brain every time one of you favorites one of those tweets, and I see it, it feels like that part of my brain lights up, too it feels "percolate-y", like little lights branching out and spreading around https://t.co/6y7q7FpsTb

I haven’t had my coffee yet so I can’t explain the step-by-step process But see if you can connect the dots The more intertwined a web of threads, the more strongly a viral event will cause cascades and aftershocks Past a certain point the web-thread will be near-ubiquitous https://t.co/TBBYW1iw7e

A well-architected web of threads might be a 10x or even 100x multiplier 🤔 https://t.co/RxDCpECJOh

Now that more of us are playing the threading game: As we compete+collaborate effectively articulate things we all care about, And weave each other’s thoughts into our respective webs, The desire paths will assemble a mindcity paved with the best individual thoughts

Well,, we been knew https://t.co/UF5BXQMMDD

@visakanv I don't aim for viral tweets myself. I try to engineer my web to target thoughtful curious types.https://t.co/Q24Tahyx9h

@visakanv But your webs and threads end up spilling over into mine. it's really fun to watch in real time.https://t.co/RkRm8FE81C

You travel along the network in one direction -> your curiosity guiding branching paths/backtracking (I think of you as a prolog program searching for 'TRUE').I am a spider, catching ideas on the web, adjusting scent on the line to direct you down paths. https://t.co/vTZA6YLCxT

@visakanv I think about flowers a lot.https://t.co/enbYy8vX8E

@visakanv Curious ants running along the web of ideas, pollinating them to bring forth new fruitful ideas.https://t.co/GyEn6M2xTZ

@visakanv So your web looks different than mine, but thats ok.https://t.co/panPlqtEGjhttps://t.co/GAqkQVvAXk

@pmarca was doing sequential one-off threads early on. I think @ultimape was someone I saw doing old-thread updates. @ryandawidjan taught me to search old tweets. There are others who do thread webs but idk there’s anyone whose style I like more than mine https://t.co/EuaFGfi4Fe

@visakanv The tweet linked in this is up to 16,931 unique impressions. https://t.co/CkEsAfP5Gm

@visakanv Seems like you're already aware of the possibilities. https://t.co/JdhgL2B1os

The more people play the threading game, earnestly, directed by their own taste and curiosity and eagerness to share what’s good, the better chances individual tweets have of reaching a sort of semi-immortality. One person’s thoughts can become connective tissue serving thousands
