secure scuttlebutt based homeless networks using distributed keys to safely send homeless people money using cellphones and barcodes without risk of the government deciding that you aren't worth because you can't pass means testing.https://t.co/uTbzoBAZx1

I'm happy today because I realized it's been 3 years now and I can apply for 3 months of foodstamps again. Its bringing up a lot of negative thoughts about how fucked up our safety nets are.https://t.co/wfNJzWfK1c

Theoretically, this could even bootstrap an incentive system where homeless people are given attractive dwellings to invite them to poop in a safe manner. We could call it a 'home'. https://t.co/dRwcRx90Ni

Did you know that there is (was) a dog shit testing service that would take dna samples of a dog's feces and then use that to fine the person who didn't pick up after their dog's waste? Please, think thru these incentives very very carefully.https://t.co/A6GJvIoqaC

I want my poop on a blockchain. But here's an article from 1914 about legislation on standardizing hospital records: https://t.co/huZG5DIj19

I can imagine a 'social credit score' system incorporating stool samples. If your feces is found on the street, your score is docked & a penalty accrued on some nondescript public blockchain. This would be a very bad, inhumane treatment of people.DO NOT let this future happen.

One of the the things that has always sat weird with me is the idea of charging someone when their dog poops on the street and having it backfire.https://t.co/y3HTRucmKE

Fining people for their dog poop… With incentive systems like this they tend to backfire: cause run-away poop loop?https://t.co/1h2xxLaP96 https://t.co/9kO618cXWJ

"The fine seems to have reduced the ethical obligation to avoid [pooping on the sidewalk] and lead them to think of [rough pooping] as simply a commodity they could purchase" 💩
