Was looking at some typefaces while buying groceries and thought again about Paula Scher. She’s a designer who really understands typography in a very profound way - its music, rhythms, contrasts. A true artist https://t.co/NWo7NQrgiC

She also has a deep understanding of the *process* - not just having great taste and making great stuff but how to effectively persuade others who don’t quite see what you see. I’m a big fan https://t.co/wEOxOVyk9j

he also suggests making a "mood map", which reminds me of Paula Scher describing how the mood changes when you're making a pitch, and how you need to know when to stop on a high point. Pink suggests using a number scale – are people positive/open or negative/resistant? https://t.co/iV5VFto3hi

“Ideas come all kinds of ways. I get my best ideas in taxicabs, like sitting in traffic, drooling. I’m allowing my subconscious to take over so that I can free associate. You have to be in a state of play to design. If you’re not in a state of play, you can’t make anything.” https://t.co/mX89V88ll4
