I have entomophobia and am at risk for Morgellons / Ekbom's Syndrome (Delusional parasitosis). I struggled a lot as a child with an intense insect phobia that was amplified by acute attention to detail that let me see real ones better than other people.https://t.co/tPj6zKpekw

I wish we knew more about SSRIs and other serotonin regulation mechanisms impact stuff in OCD and itch. I think something is there that seems to coincide w/ my own biology. Sometimes I can't stop itching & thinking about them once surprised by an insect.https://t.co/7AgcbT91LS

Insects are fascinating now. Part of a coping mechanism I've intentionally fostered over a number of years to help w/ a crippling anxiety about going outside.Seeing it as a trauma induced psychosis driven by sensory processing oddities has helped me come to terms with it.

This is surprisingly cathartic to me. Embracing myself as a hive; coming to terms with reality - helping to shed my childhood's irrational fears. 🙏https://t.co/0Sbrjcdat0
