This would only be applicable to maybe 7.5% of the population, and of those, the ones with lots of pain don't tend to menstruate at regular intervals and it wouldn't be a reliable income stream compared to impotence (which you can sell as a luxury). https://t.co/pLArtI0sgp

It is a bigger market, eyeballing it at 24million women vs 18million men.But we're talking about a few pills sold *maybe* once a month (competing with tylenol, midol, other big brands), vs something in ballpark of 3 times a week or higher for new couples.https://t.co/jY9lGcEc2f

This is a fucked up situation? yes! but not a failure of capitalism as I can see.Now if this does in fact operate to improve women's menstral pain, this is something I genuinely care about. I'm going to go spend time seeing if you can make it yourself.

Yes, I'm "well actually"ing. I Think this is important. Misinformation about the dynamics of women's menstrual health wont help us. It make it harder to find solutions & easier for assholes to poison the well. I don't want women's health to backslide any more than it already has.

This isn't them being 'bad at capitalism'. This capitalism running it's course and failing to meet the needs of a large demographic due to there being a brand moat around them. The Viagra (and now Levitra) market was wide open and largely incumbent free.

This is a predatory brand trying to make the most money by sueing competitors and trying to lock down a market. The good news is that you might be able to get generics for 'pulmonary arterial hypertension'https://t.co/QmX9Le5rAY

There are other more sketchy ways of getting access to the drug, but I don't recommend them. The herbal medicine is a unregulated dark-market. https://t.co/hSOVpOBaWWhttps://t.co/GeDNz7E50phttps://t.co/66sWT5DQLI

Wait... OD'ing on a pill for penis enlargement has a possible side effect: it literally make you go blind...Not only that, it helps you grow hair?!https://t.co/0HeqKKmHpo

Ooh, wait, Viagra operates via PDE5 via Smooth Muscles in the penis?I know about smooth muscles.https://t.co/OboDRHxlj6

Oh hey, this link is purple. Why was I looking up smooth muscle in the uterus?https://t.co/lvJJKBa0fW

Huh"Despite its limited sample size studied, this is the first demonstration that women with PCOS exhibit microvascular endothelial dysfunction, indicated by an inhibited vasodilatory response to ACh."https://t.co/0WnI8UV2b0

How does one get a hold of guinea pig intestine?*some time later* Oh. :(https://t.co/fKSpkAGVkm

Ah, so this might be nicotine related eh?https://t.co/Qh2cjWoTe8

"the earlier a woman started to smoke, the higher her risk of chronic pain during menstruation. [...] before the age of 13 had a 59 percent higher risk of chronic cramps, while among those who began in their mid-teens, the risk was 50 percent higher"https://t.co/5H0iYfC3G6

Neat, Viagra might reduce inflammation thru action on smooth muscle in the lungs (in rats)"This study suggests that sildenafil might reduce smoke-induced inflammation in rat lungs."https://t.co/hcmyRG3jsp

Whelp, Twitter search is failing me once again. I'm still recovering from a head-cold, so I'm frustrated.Note to self: PDE5, 5-Alpha Reductase, Acytlecholine, Parsley, Diabetes, PCOS, Asthma, Smooth Muscle Tissue, Cytochrome/liver genesMuscles, what?https://t.co/W3RrtW2INb

Gonads and strife. Twitter is hiding entire threads from search again. I can't find anything on penis, semen, popcorn, parsley, or Myometrium or Uterine.Thankfully it wasn't yet out of the scrolling window on my main feed:https://t.co/fXbSxvsEP8

Here, future me. Since search doesn't; Don't bother scrolling, I linked to near the top.https://t.co/9V1kQl29Bl

IIRC many problems we see in Diabetes is caused by uric acid crystals building up... Flushing it might help. But why is it there to begin with? Maybe celery is acting on gut microbes in similar way as why it makes nitrates for meat preservation? Hmmhttps://t.co/QoZOL5f1oB

10 fucking minutes between ideas vs the 2 seconds it normally takes. I can't think at this pace.I wonder how many more of my ideas are locked away from me because 'muh network health'https://t.co/zuIVeiitVF

Hi, we're https://t.co/MaH057b2w6, and we built tools to protect you from yourselves. Oh, but we are doing it because we love you and value your health and safety. It is our responsibility as the caretakers of this great network to nanny you.https://t.co/zXtOQQzpqL

Twitter is hiding MY OWN TWEETS from myself. I hate this place.https://t.co/2ABzcT60ll

I'm literally working on fixing diabetes (type 2) and reduce pain symptoms associated with PCOS in with these threads. Twitter's algorithms come and tell me that I'm unwanted.https://t.co/4kFEo2oL04

I can only imagine what it must feel like to be: millennial woman interested in starting a family, having PCOS / struggling with fertility, only to get bombarded with ad after ad for minivans specifically using tactics resonating with insecurities.Toxic.https://t.co/2j8bz2E4m5

I am basically driven by the idea that my girlfriend is going to die from a heartattack before I can help her get healthier.https://t.co/L3MjE0zf0c

AVP seems to do interesting things in PCOS patients."Copeptin appeared to have an important role in metabolic response and subsequent development of atherosclerosis in insulin resistant, hyperandrogenemic PCOS patients."https://t.co/xarnST2TBEhttps://t.co/WdvklCY9MD

How many other people are in this position?"Lets give our diabetic type 2 patient a medication that makes her gain weight... What could go wrong? Hurr durr, I'm a doctur."https://t.co/bgsD15vEv8

Endocrine Specialist Doctor is flummoxed by how a medication that directly impacts insulin and hormone balance causes weight gain in a diabetic type II patient when combined with other drugs. What the fuck is wrong with our medical system?https://t.co/dh2wMFpKZW
