been thinking about how, *generally*, the more followers a person has, the more simplistic their output seems to become. I think this is probably-maybe a consequence of encountering an increasing volume of stupid misunderstandings

there are alternate explanations like "post dumb shit -> get lots of dumb followers fast", and that definitely is true for some people, but I'm not interested in those cases. i'm curious about smart thoughtful nuanced people whose public output loses nuance over time
