Watching Marie Kondo get couples to go through their stuff is more intimate than watching people have sex. Doin’ it is easy, talking about your feelings is hard https://t.co/0ePXJ3fMNM

I think a lot of people read her quotes and assumed she must be some sort of cold, ruthless, obsessive person but she’s actually so kind and gentle and sweet - kinder to her clients than they are to themselves https://t.co/zpVnNJOhAc

Would you be more comfortable sharing a nude picture of yourself, or having a camera crew follow you around your home and ask you about everything?

Doing a twitter search for Marie Kondo is pretty illuminating. People have strong feelings about their stuff. I think it’s good to be able to realise that her method is an invitation, not an order. If you want to keep your junk, you can!!

@fortelabs @uxdesigntom Watched all of it. I liked it; but the bulk of the focus is on the human drama and stories of the families, with some of Marie’s tips peppered throughout. It’s more like an emotional intro/teaser to Marie to get people interested, than a deep dive into her methods

This is a fair and valid point that will be the only thing some people see about the show, and something that others completely miss https://t.co/PrCsqlbRRZ

these 15 seconds reveal that marie kondo is the complete opposite of what ~95% of her haters seem to assume she is https://t.co/NKd06H360N

reposting so the link appears in the preview i would pay like $10 for marie to do a dramatic reading of this in Japanese, with her interpreter translating https://t.co/pVpC5yEHTE

This is a thought I had had but didn’t want to get into because I don’t have the right background. But basically yeah the only people who bring this up seem to be white people, I live in Singapore and nobody seems to bring that one up https://t.co/MFQuwpbYYZ

@visakanv I always saw Marie Kondo as sort of augmenting consumerism. In a sense it's liberating because you only end up with shit you actually love. On the other hand this thinking reinforces the idea that purchased objects reflect your personality. Which can be good or bad I guess.
