Day 4! Observation: South Indian mosquitos are much easier to kill than Southeast Asian ones. They seem slower & stupider. I’ve killed like 10 of these guys within the first three attempts. I don’t condone revenge killings but these arseholes *are* persistent (that’s my blood) https://t.co/6ZDqLU3n2F

Day 5, my last day in India (for this trip!) woke up to have breakfast in our Trichy hotel. It’s interesting how hotels around the world (well - around Asia, afaik) have the same “format” while each of course having their own local specialties and flavours represented https://t.co/m07E7mSPKQ

Just appreciating the colors on the Ganesha shrine in the carpark of the hotel before we head out to visit a couple of kovils https://t.co/uQTW7QoBUM

So first we head to the Kaveri river so my dad can dunk himself in it for some post-funeral rights cleansing purposes (I always love going through these tunnel-esquw thresholds) and at the end of it we meet... https://t.co/Hl7A2ASRpS

A VERY BIG GOOD GIRL https://t.co/rJByJIpbWT

Approaching the Sriranaganathaswamy Koyil in Srirangam - I love how it looms in the distance and gets bigger as you approach it. Architecture like this is so underrated in its capacity to move and inspire, imo https://t.co/z5WUZnVVfI

(Reverse order) Before we headed back to the airport, we dropped by Trichy Junction - a large central railway station opened in 1859. It has 8 platforms and 16 tracks https://t.co/CqGAwBH0at

- interesting poster conceptualizing cultural differences within India - commemorating Vivekananda’s commute - Ambedkar monument - early steam engine that my dad says actually ran on the tracks 150+ years ago https://t.co/9IKhFtA3c2

Oh, I forgot to mention. I had the best butter chicken of my life in Trichy, with naan and mint+lime juice. I suspect I might have died. I might be tweeting from the afterlife. This was at Anjappar’s https://t.co/rTAvGutlV6
