Speaking of interpreters and translators, remember this? 😂 https://t.co/FYSd4guU5l

“When I'm sometimes asked when will there be enough [women on the Supreme Court] and I say, 'When there are nine,' people are shocked. But there'd been nine men, and nobody's ever raised a question about that.” - Ruth Bader Ginsburg https://t.co/O58LaraE2Y

There *is* something interesting about the fact that so many of the world’s most important and powerful interpreters seem to be women https://t.co/s7l6csQieI

Imagine what these women have seen, what they have heard, what they know. What decisions they must have had to make. @Netflix, where is the documentary on this? https://t.co/s5TESEExk2

I doubt anybody really cares about this, but if I knew more than 10 people were going to care about this tweet, I probably would've proofread it, and used a different word than "controlling". I think I'd use "steering" instead https://t.co/OvLUOgqSpO

whenever one of my tweets gets 300+ RTs, I *always* find that parts of it are phrased poorly so I start phrasing my tweets as carefully as possible... ... and then most of them get, idk, 5 RTs tops so I get sloppy and think "eh, nobody reads this, who cares" 300+ RTs again

a final attempt at a little additional nuance, for the nuance connoisseurs ❤️ https://t.co/QpgzeNJgwq

@themanburglar @llauracm_ well there's also a "maybe" in there 😅 I mostly just want to know more about the interpreters and the work they do. I would not agree with a statement like "actually the women running the show", but I do believe something like "they are so much more critical than people realize"

@visakanv "women and diplomacy", 1907 https://t.co/UDVcOlZCw1
