90% of graffiti added to video game environments bothers the hell out of me and this is WHY https://t.co/jN22YZGh3w

@JayRock5858 Half life 2 had decent graffiti, I believe they hired a couple of european graffiti artists. I remember when I first started putting graffiti in my games I studied actual aesthetics and styles (bubble vs arrow, 80s vs 90s, europe vs NYC), but it takes a lot of time, dedication

@JayRock5858 @Yuri_Librarian I liked all the graffiti in silent hill 2, and not just the “there was a HOLE here” one. I’m talking the weird biblical messages on the walls of the bathroom, the graffiti lining some of the apartment walls (most noticable in the laundry rooms), that stuff

@JayRock5858 I have similar problems with stars in which the distribution lacks the clustering and perceived structure that you'd expect to see in real stars or random distribution. Instead they are often all have a similar distance to nearest neighbours.

Gonna mute this so I can see other notes, but if you like stories with detailed worldbuilding (and biology, and aliens) you should check out my art blog and patreon: https://t.co/zVPaKkBc1r ☘️https://t.co/4AglZIgORE
