I found out that in many cases of schizophrenia, birth control pill improves chances of getting pregnant (or are otherwise ineffective). As result, when institutionalization was norm, "best practice" = force many to be sterilized. :(No one seems to know this. Not even doctors. https://t.co/j3a3qLglEW

Add that fact in with the rates of schizophrenic people in poverty conditions is extremely high and it brings up some pretty awful implications about how our society is structured.

I suspect that much like how in autism the Microglia Cells effect on Mast Cell degradation in the brain being a gendered phenomena, that there might be a similar situation occuring with schizophrenia. There is some debate on this issue: https://t.co/RDgBkQuGyl

Both conditions show a possible causal link with women with PCOS and other hormone related issues. PCOS is interesting because birth control has also been shown to improve chances of conception; and is often the course of treatment to help them conceive.

I personally feel that access to condoms (and other barrier methods) should be something of a human right. It impacts so much more than body autonomy. Affects perhaps the fundamental structures of society. We need more of this:https://t.co/7blwTuyq0B
