You'll notice that this thread uses a metaphor about trains and streams of thought. I was making a self-depreciating joke about how often autistic people are obessed with trains. The slur for that is "foamers".I am foaming at the mouth like a rabid dog over these brain systems.
The upper left quadrant of that diagram talks about glucocorticoids, which this entire thread dances around. Glucocorticoid is a portmanteau. It means glucose + cortex + steroid. Cortisol (the "stress hormone") is a well known glucocorticoid.https://t.co/fD3ieTtEwK
