Going through my sprawling old todo list(s) and trying to figure out some sort of coherence. There are a lot of writing prompts, but the real challenge, I realize, is actually figuring out what the angle and story is at the heart of each prompt

For example, I have an idea for a post about how my teachers wrote about me. The interesting story at the heart of it is – my teachers actually recognized that I lacked internal motivation, but they never truly addressed it

Cinderella can seem like a boring story on the surface – the interesting part of the story is what didn’t happen. She didn’t allow her experience to turn her into a bitter, angry person. It’s a story about breaking the cycle of abuse
