I can't stop thinking about female bears with penises. Why do they exist? What does this mean? How do bears lose weight and gain muscle while hibernating, and not succumb to bone loss in the process? Also this government website talking about bear poop.https://t.co/Pr4SanHNSI

I read this paper, and think three things in quick succession: 1) If I understand this correctly... are they feeding mice bear poop? 2) How did the scientists acquire said bear poop. 3) Does this work on humans. https://t.co/oeCBndQoS5

This is haunting my dreams now."According to a 1988 study, between 10 to 20% of female bears have a penis-like structure in place of a vagina. "An intersex female bear actually mates and gives birth through the tip of her 'penis'," says Roughgarden."https://t.co/PxY0DAx66S

Two things plague astronauts and possibly colonization of mars.1) bone loss2) muscle lossTL;DR: I imagine a future where astronauts injct themselves w/ bear poop to endure the harshness of space, and possibly endure sex changes as a result of microbial impact on sex hormones.

"noted that these differences could not be explained by diet or kidney function, pointing to a difference in the make-up of their intestinal bacteria."https://t.co/WxwthubQ2U

Dogs goes out in the woods, eats animal poop. Brings said bacteria in your house. Licks your face. Bam, you are now healthier.https://t.co/gjgt998g7Z

"Owners of hunting breeds, including terriers, retrievers, and scent hounds, were most protected from cardiovascular disease and death."https://t.co/9SufxKF25zWe should do a study on dogs using go-pros + gps. Then see what kind of shit they roll in.

Dogs seem to help autistic people. I wonder if it has anything actually to do with the interaction with the dog, or if it is entirely because of microbial contamination.Good chance why living on a farm seems to reduce people's allergies. Dogs & cow poo.https://t.co/NI7xSnzeEn

So bears are basically big dogs with even better sense of smell."Black bears mark their territory through urinating, defecating, and by scratching, rubbing, and biting trees."https://t.co/FPcEGwPYu9

If we can tell hormone changes in mice by measuring the distance of there genitalia... we could theoretically test my hypothesis on microbial hormonal manipulation by raising mice on a diet of different sets of bear poop. Would be trivial in a good lab.https://t.co/Br33ymEwIW

"The reproductive behaviour of large, solitary mammals is difficult to study. Owing to their secretive nature and wide-ranging habits, aspects of male mating behaviour are poorly documented in solitary than in social species." https://t.co/vav6kZdxBt

Huh, its apparently illegal in Canada to own a bear gall-bladder. Interesting thing to be sold as a medicine given that it's likely a harbor for the bacteria I'm interested in.https://t.co/zqC0ePexGH

researching people drinking bear urine is difficult. Between amphiboly of "Bear" being used in so many ways linguistically, and that Bear Grylls meme... Google just gets really confuse and thinks i'm talking about drinking beer made using human urine.https://t.co/dVZzrqkSer

Dear Diary,Today I learned our brown bears are related to the species of bear that attacked a bunch of settlers in 1915 in japan. The Indecent may be the inspiration for the plot of Ikuhara's Yuri Bear Storm.https://t.co/nQVChWu1sSGrowl growl.https://t.co/WyRbQ79oNC

Science: We have no idea how all of this works.Me: I'm exploring the dietary habits of gay bears and how changes in food availability and environmental factors lead to large scale behavioral changes driven by a feedback loop between genes, brain and gut.https://t.co/QYjlhxUymX https://t.co/p1dSB9UQlO

Anime does weird things to your brain.https://t.co/1IGEIPUjky

@darwin_muse @Evolving_Moloch I mean there's a difference between reading science papers directly and a news entertainer who's refrencing science PR articles. My claim to fame is predicting bears ought to have psudopenis entirely from learning they don't poo during hibernation + guessing at their microbiome.

Have you tried hibernating to solve the problem?https://t.co/ESyGjROocE

Tired: obesity is a risk factor for heart diseaseWired: obesity is a risk factor for gut dysbiosis leading to microbiome induced inflammation that impacts heartInspired: Do bears get heart attacks?Hired: How can we get humans to hibernate?Desired: https://t.co/NJlwfmXpiW
