part of why women say things like this, apart from as a coping mechanism for the BS they deal with, is to see how men respond responding like this just confirms their suspicions (and makes it an extra-useful tactic for them to keep using to identify who the fragile dudes are) https://t.co/dNFtcjmvie

Why do they care who the fragile dudes are? Fragile dudes are potentially dangerous. They’re the ones who get contemptuous, who abuse and attack. It is perfectly sensible for women to be wary of fragile dudes. #NotAllMen, sure, but you can’t tell in advance who’ll murder you

I have so many friends who are women, LGBTQ folk, minorities. They know they can trust me. They know they are safe in my presence. They know they can share their thoughts and feelings and be listened to, not attacked. I say this not to brag but to illustrate. Everyone can do this

Don’t take it personally, because it’s not about you in particular. It’s about the context we’re in. And it’s a very shitty context, so the suspicion & defensiveness is completely understandable. Don’t make it about you https://t.co/Na5lo0tvep

I've had several conversations with frustrated men who say things like, "How can I talk about feminism w/o women accusing me of being a fake male white-knight feminist who's out to score points?" See, this is a lemon problem. It's NOT ABOUT YOU. It's about the CONTEXT you are in https://t.co/JpjCc5PoRt
