For the last six months I’ve gone for a 30 - 45 minute walk every morning as close to waking as possible. I’ve missed maybe three days when it was raining heavily. It’s become one of my favourite habits - seems to have a strong link with how good I feel.

One benefit of this is seeing London when it's extra lovely https://t.co/aGaexw7zVd

@m_ashcroft Done about 10 days with one skip. Going to sleep at midnight and waking up a bit before 8 organically, which is new. Slightly greater urge to get stuff done in the mornings. Friend says there's evidence that a walk at sunset contributes to circadian regulation as well.

@m_ashcroft i used to go on a lot of walks during rona when the gym was closed i wish going on walks had the positive psychological effect on me it has on other people otoh i don't get SAD so that's maybe an upside of my mood not being modulated by sunlight/environmental factors that much
